Secret Black Myth Wukong moves

Black Myth: Wukong is packed with secrets, from hidden bosses to powerful builds, but did you know the game also has hidden mechanics that can change the way you play? These are moves the tutorial never teaches you, and even as a seasoned player, I only discovered them after multiple playthroughs. Whether you’re a beginner or a veteran, these secret techniques will help you reach new areas, stay safe in combat, and master the game’s counter mechanics like a pro!

Watch the Full Video Guide Here:

1. The Heavy Attack Jump – Reach New Heights

Ever struggled to reach a ledge that seemed just out of reach? Or found yourself frustrated by ranged enemies pelting you from above? The Heavy Attack Jump is the solution!

How It Works:

  • While mid-air, press the heavy attack button.

  • This gives you extra height, letting you reach platforms and hidden areas.

  • Use it to close the gap on annoying enemies positioned above you.

🔹 Pro Tip: This trick is also useful for certain environmental puzzles where jumping alone doesn’t seem to work.

2. Light Jump Attack – Keep Enemies at a Distance

Combat in Black Myth: Wukong can be brutal, and aggressive enemies can overwhelm you fast. The Light Jump Attack is a great way to stay mobile while keeping your enemies at bay.

How It Works:

  • While jumping, press the light attack button.

  • Wukong will perform a quick strike while airborne.

  • This move lets you attack from a safer distance, reducing the risk of taking damage.

🔹 Bonus Tip for Boss Fights: Early-game bosses hit hard. If you're struggling, don’t be afraid to use a hit-and-run strategy. Stay at a distance, wait for the right moment, and strike when it’s safe. Not flashy, but highly effective.

3. Seeing Through Move & Resolute Counter – Master the Art of Parrying

This is hands down the most powerful hidden mechanic in the game, but also the hardest to master. With the Seeing Through Move (Thrust Stance) and Resolute Counter (Smash Stance), you can avoid enemy attacks and strike back without taking damage.

How It Works:

  • Use a light attack and press Heavy attack right before the enemie attacks.

  • In Smash Stance, you can parry and counterattack using the Resolute Counter, making you untouchable during the counter.

  • In Thrust Stance, the Seeing Through Move lets you evade an attack completely and immediately strike back after dodging.

🔹 Why It’s a Game-Changer:

  • These counters make you invulnerable while executing them.

  • Perfect for handling aggressive bosses and elite enemies.

  • Once mastered, you can punish enemies without taking damage, making fights much easier.

I didn’t discover this move until my third playthrough, but if you learn it early, it will completely change the way you fight!
